Biography

As Controller, Hiyasmin is responsible for all of AJ Watt’s accounting functions, including corporate accounting, property accounting oversight, budgeting, cash management and working with AJ Watt’s tax providers. Hiyasmin is an accounting and finance professional with over 15 years of experience, primarily in the commercial real estate industry. She has strong knowledge of GAAP and is well versed in property management and construction/development accounting, common area maintenance reconciliation.

Prior to AJ Watt, Hiyasmin held various senior accounting positions with real estate investment firms. She was previously the SVP Accounting with CGI, Director of Finance and Accounting with CIM Group, and Corporate Controller for EST Asset Management. Previous accounting positions included Newmark Merrill, Pacific Equity Properties, and Macerich. Hiyasmin holds Bachelor of Science degrees in both Accounting and Biology.
